Turkey Offers Operating Rights for 115 Mw Akkpr Hydro Plant

The Privatization Administration of Turkey is inviting bids by 30 May to acquire operational rights for the 115 MW Akkpr hydroelectric power plant in Mul province, with related assets also available through either method. The facility, which started operating in 2012 and generates approximately 176 GWh annually, consists of two vertical axis Francis turbines and generators from Voith and Siemens respectively. The Akkpr Dam, a clay core rockfill embankment built between 1995 and 2000, also provides flood protection.
