SolarPower Europe recommends Oman to integrate renewable energy, liberalize its market structure, and optimize grid infrastructure to meet net-zero targets. Oman's current electricity mix is primarily natural gas, and the country aims for an 11% renewables share by 2025 and 30% by 2030. To achieve this, 13 GW of solar is needed. Several solar projects are under development, with tenders expected between 2025 and 2029. Oman should pursue greater renewable energy integration for economic growth and job creation.
