Johnson Controls has launched a new series of residential heat pumps, which use R-454B as refrigerant and can be paired with their gas furnaces. The heat pumps have a COP between 3.24 and 3.4, SEER2 up to 16, HSPF2 up to 8.1, and cooling capacities ranging from 22.2 MBtuh to 58.5 MBtuh. They are designed for easy servicing, with top or side compressor access, and feature a swing-out control box and individually removable coil guards. The YH5 heat pump series is compatible with various accessories and thermostats.
