Saudi Arabia could potentially reach 130 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, according to a report by GlobalData. The country has seen significant growth in renewables since 2022, with a CAGR of 40.1% predicted between 2023 and 2030. Solar accounted for the majority of renewable capacity at 82.6% in 2023. Saudi Arabia has announced fifth round bidders for its renewable energy tender program, with potential sites identified for wind and solar projects.
