Maxeon Sues Rec, Hanwha Qcells for Alleged Topcon Patent Infringement

Maxeon Solar Technologies, a Singapore-based solar module manufacturer, has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Hanwha Qcells and REC Solar Holdings AS in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The lawsuits allege that the companies used unspecified TOPCon solar cell technology protected by Maxeon's over 650 granted patents and 330 pending applications. Maxeon previously sued Canadian Solar and Aiko Solar Energies for similar patent infringements.
