Kia is launching a high-performance GT version of its electric vehicle (EV), the EV9, in January with "enormous power." The EV9 GT will have quicker acceleration, a reinforced suspension, and electronic braking for better stability at high speeds. Kia plans to focus on affordable electric cars and aims to become an EV leader by the end of the decade. The automaker will launch six new mass EV models in major markets, including the EV3, EV4, and Carens EV. In total, Kia aims to sell 1.6 million EVs by 2030.
