President Biden marked Earth Day by announcing $7 billion in grants for low-income households to go solar, and expanding the US Climate Corps. The funding comes from the Solar For All program under the EPAs Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund in the Inflation Reduction Act. This will enable over 90,000 households in disadvantaged communities to benefit from distributed solar energy. The expansion of Climate Corps includes a new website where job-seekers can apply for climate positions, with an estimated 20,000 jobs available. The announcements were made at Prince William Forest Park, inspired by FDR's New Deal.
