ABB Motion, the motors business of Swedish-Swiss electrical-equipment producer AB, has launched a new solar drive for water pumping. The ACQ80 variable speed drive system features built-in maximum power point tracking (MPPT) logic and a wide input voltage range from 225 to 800 V, enabling operation even with decreased solar panel output. It offers integrated pumping features and smart operating modes. The device can operate at high altitudes and in various humidity levels and temperatures.
