The US Department of Energy (DoE) proposes 10 National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors (NIETCs) to enhance grid reliability, lower costs, and support renewable energy development. Eight corridors will connect different regions, while two focus on regional capacity expansion within the Mid-Atlantic and Northern Plains. Public comments are open until May 16, with potential for federal financing under recent legislation.
