The UK Power Networks (UKPN) Distribution System Operator (DSO) has introduced a fast-track grid connection scheme, expediting connections for 25 solar PV projects to cut years off development times and reduce initial costs. This program targets a cumulative capacity of 836 MW, which is about one-fifth of London's peak demand and marks the first phase of releasing multiple gigawatts in 2024.
