Hyundai Motor Group has announced a strategic partnership with Toray Industries to develop new materials for electric vehicles (EVs), specifically for improving battery and motor performance using carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) parts. This alliance aims to help Hyundai gain a competitive edge in the global EV market by leveraging Toray's advanced, lightweight, and heat-resistant materials. By focusing on EV technology, Hyundai has surpassed Ford and GM in US sales, becoming the second-largest EV manufacturer, with plans to be among the top three globally by 2030.
