In a record-breaking start to 2024, renewable energy supplied 58.4% of all electricity generated in Germany during Q1.

Germany achieved its highest ever share of renewable energy generation at 58.4% Q1, predominantly wind and solar power. Solar output increased by 21%, while wind power also grew significantly. However, emission reductions in transportation and buildings lagged behind targets.
