In the first five months of 2024, Brazil installed 6 GW of new solar capacity, bringing total PV installations to 43 GW. Of this, nearly 29.2 GW came from under-75 kW distributed generation systems, while large-scale plants contributed 13.8 GW. This signifies that the share of photovoltaics in Brazil's electricity mix reached 18.2%.
