On May 2, 2024, Baywa re commissioned a 54 MW agrivoltaic solar park in Alhend, Spain. The Danish window manufacturer Velux agreed to purchase the majority of its annual output under a long-term PPA with an expected yield of 96.8 GWh. The project's implementation will feature agricultural activities and biodiversity initiatives supported by local universities.
